My top 5 drugstore products.

I love make up!!! I love buying it, I love wearing it and I love trying out new things. My first post is going to be about my favourite drugstore make up products as these are the ones I tend to use when I want a ‘no make up’ look and the ones I use nearly every day. I think they are all really good prices and really give me a nice, casual day to day look.

1.Foundation – Rimmel Match Perfection.

I love this foundation, its so affordable and comes in so many different shades. I am quite pale so always buy ‘ivory’ and it sits on my skin lovely. Blends very well and doesn’t even look like I have foundation on sometimes. It’s very build-able and lasts all day. This is definitely my go to foundation for my every day look.

2.Concealer – Collection Lasting Perfection.

Ok, so if you haven’t heard or used this concealer before, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!? It’s amazing and costs something as little as £4!!!! If I haven’t had a good nights sleep in a few nights and under my eyes turn a little purple then I always go for this. It gives such good coverage its crazy how something so cheap can make me look so awake. I honestly love this concealer so much and would recommend it to anyone, especially at the price it is, you would be silly not to.

3. Eyebrows – Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil.

My eyebrows are probably the worst part of putting on my make up. Too thin, too thick, too dark, too light – I can never get it right, but I try. They’re at an awkward stage at the moment where i’m trying to grow them so I can use other products, but right now this is Rimmel pencil is the only thing that makes them look reasonably good. Its got a good brush on the end to help shape them and it fills in really easy. I have been using this product for about a year now and still have the same pencil it’s lasted me that long, so its definitely worth a buy even if you don’t use it all the time. Also it stays on really well throughout the day and when I come to wipe my makeup off at night it comes off really easily.

4. Mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama.

This mascara is sooo good! Definitely does what it says. Makes my lashes really long and stand out. It has a bristle brush which is quite bending too, which makes it easier to get into the corners of your eyes. The only problem I have with this mascara is that I can’t use it when I’m in a rush as it’s quite wet, so if you blink too hard or sneeze it tends to come off under your eyes. After about 5 minutes it dries quite well but wouldn’t be the best if you was in a rush.

5. Blusher – Max Factor Creme Puff Blush.

This blusher is beautiful. This shade I have here is Seductive Pink and it looks amazing on. Gives you a nice blushed colour on your cheeks which isn’t too bright and lasts all day. I don’t always use this blusher every day but when I do I get so many compliments and so many people asking me what it is.

So there you have my top 5 drugstore products. I have recently repurchased all of these so they are all still out there. I hope you’ve enjoyed my first blog post and I look forward to writing some more 🙂 xo

Hi kirsten, I have been looking for a good concealer for ages, there are just too many to chose from so I usually end up walking out with none. So thanks for the advise!!!
