I am such a girly girl, I love pampering myself and I love cosy nights in. So for today’s post I thought I’d go through with you my perfect pamper evening. I start off by melting chocolate and dipping my strawberries in it, then popping them in the fridge for about half an hour. Chocolate covered strawberries are honestly my favourite little treat to have.
When the strawberries are in the fridge I’d then start running a bath. Right now I only have a shower (hurry up June) but I would be definitely using some sort of Lush bath bomb or bubble bath. They are my favourite, so colourful and smell amazing!! I’d then take my make up off using Garnier’s Micellar cleansing water with cotton wool pads. If you haven’t invested in Micellar water yet I’d seriously consider it. I always manage to get all my make up off and you don’t have to worry about getting it in your eyes. It also feels very refreshing. After taking all my make up off I then use Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish and Toner. I received these as presents for Christmas about two years ago and I still haven’t used it all up!!! They really last well and a little goes a long way with the both of these. Again they leave my skin feeling very fresh and clean. I then jump in the bath and put on a face mask. Lately I’ve been loving this Quick Fix clay mask, although it says its clay its very light on the skin and leaves it feeling very soft.
After the bath, I get in the shower and wash my face mask off and my hair. I always change my shampoo and conditioner but I mainly go for anti frizz ones as my hair is very frizzy, especially this time of the year with this heat. I also love using this 3 minute miracle reconstructor from the Aussie hair care brand. Depending on how dry and damaged my hair is I either just leave it on for 3 minutes and wash it off in the shower or I tend to leave it on over night. Normally on my pamper evening I just wash it off. It really calms my frizz down and makes my hair feel and smell amazing. Once I’m out the shower and all dry, I moisturise using the Dove Derma Spa gradual tan. I love having a tan and because I’m so pale this is perfect for me.
I then put my pj’s on, make myself a cuppa tea (not a fan of hot chocolate or wine but they’d fit in perfectly with the pamper evening), get out my chocolate strawberries from the fridge and sit back on the sofa watching one of my favourite films. I’m a 90’s girl and have ALWAYS been obsessed with the olsen twins, their movies are my favourite and always make me happy. My other favourite films of all time is the Twilight saga. I mean, who can resist films where 2 very hot, attractive guys fall in love with a pretty girl!? I can’t!! I like to go to bed pretty early as well to feel the full benefit of my pamper evening so I wake up the next day feeling fresh and ready to go.
Hope you enjoyed my pamper evening, I usually like to have these every other week on a Sunday evening before the beginning of a new week. I think it’s important we take time out to pamper ourselves and just relax one evening a week, it recharges our batteries and it always makes me feel better. Enjoy your pamper evenings 🙂 xo.
