My weight and body confidence has been something I’ve suffered from for most of my adult life. I’m finally at a stage in my life where I feel confident being the size I am and don’t think people judge me, based on how I look. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been so happy about being plus sized. Having said that, being the weight I am is dangerous to myself. I am unhealthy and unfit, and if I carry on eating the way I do, i’ll end up being unwell. I have recently moved into a flat, which has four flights of stairs to my front door and it kills me every time. I’ve only been living here a couple of days but something is telling me I need to change.
Today is the day where I start again fresh. I need to stop my unhealthy, bad eating habits and my laziness, pull up my socks and get myself fit and healthy. I have always been a big lover of Slimming World, my parents did it when I was younger and lost 5 stone between them and now again this year they’ve lost 6 stone between them. I have also previously lost weight on it and it’s the only thing that’s worked for me. It amazes me how much you can eat (within proportion) with this healthy lifestyles and still loose weight, which is why I decided to dig out all my old books and start again. I already have quite a few other books with lots of different recipes and I follow quite a few groups on Facebook which have amazing ideas, files, recipes and pictures all within the group. If anyone would like to be added to the groups, just let me know and i’ll add you in 🙂 Another thing that helps me loads with Slimming World is Instagram. You only need to put #slimmingworld into your search bar and millions of pictures of yummy good foods come up, you can grab so many amazing ideas from there. Also there are quite a few people who have Instagram accounts dedicated to Slimming World. Again, these accounts are amazing too and so inspirational. So along with healthy eating, I really need to start exercising. I have never in my life been a gym lover, I’m kind of an exercise for 20 minute kinda girl, which is why I much prefer doing exercise videos at home. I did a few DVD’s of Insanity a few months ago and they made me feel amazing. The workouts on there are tough but definitely get your body pumping and only last about 20-30 minutes. So easy to do before work in the morning or later in the evening and you don’t have to leave the comfort of your own home. Also another amazing way of exercising at home which is FREE is YouTube. If you type in what type of exercise your looking for there are millions of videos that come up and plenty to choose from. I’m definitely going to use videos from YouTube when I’m trying to focus on certain areas of my body.
So today’s the day where a big change for me is happening! I can do this, I have the will power and determination to power through the tough stages and get on with this.
