Make up brushes are definitely the keys to making your make up look good. I can remember only ever using my hands to put on foundation and wondering why it didn’t look nice or why I always ended up with lots of spots. Well it turns out that me using my fingers to put on foundation meant I was rubbing bacteria onto my face as well as the foundation – not good!! So thankfully I invested in some make up brushes. I have been through so many in my time but always find myself going back to the same ones. I think it’s good to trial lots of different ones so you can find which brushes you’ll end up most comfortably using. You must always remember to wash them too, I have a post here which shows how I clean my brushes.
Most of my brushes are from Real Techniques. I have the beauty blender for my foundation and most of the other brushes they have in all their collections. I loveeeee these brushes so much, they’re affordable, they’re soft and they also make my makeup look great. They have lots of different sizes and shapes which is great for everything you’ll use on your face. I also love how easy they are to clean. Some brushes I’ve had in the past have always been a nightmare to get all the make up off, but these are really easy and always remain soft.
Not too long ago I was browsing through eBay when I came along this full set of brushes for about £11. They didn’t have a brand but I couldn’t believe how cheap they we’re so started reading the reviews, which we’re all really positive. I then thought why not and decided to order them. They arrived a few days later and I’ve been hooked ever since. They aren’t very long brushes which I actually really liked and they reminded me so much of the sigma brushes. Again these we’re super soft, they work great with my makeup and are super easy to clean. I feel like these are definitely a good dupe for the sigma brushes, I love them and definitely recommend anyone starting off on makeup to purchase these as they are so cheap too. What are your favourite brushes to use? 🙂 xo.
