Festive Days in London | Blogmas #5

Last week my boyfriend and I stayed in London for 4 days to do some Christmas shopping and to do a little site seeing whilst everything looked even prettier with all its Christmas decorations. We stayed in a hotel which was a 3 minute walk away from Victoria – perfect if you’re travelling in by train and it only cost £250 for 3 nights. If you ask me I’d say thats pretty cheap for being in the middle of London. It wasn’t the best hotel I’ve ever been to, but it was a roof over my head whilst I was there.

On the day we arrived, we literally dropped our bags off and headed over to Covent Garden. It was beautiful with all it’s Christmas decorations and markets. Made me feel super happy and excited. That night we went to see School of Rock in the New London Theatre near Covent Garden. It was bloody amazing! If you are ever in London and want to see a show, I’d 100% recommend it. I loved the film so when I realised it was in theatre I knew I had to see it – we had really good seats too. In fact, looking around there really wasn’t a bad seat in there.

The following day we went to The English Rose cafe for breakfast which was just around the corner from Victoria station. We went for a full English which was lovely and it was very cute, quiet and cosy in the cafe. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re staying near Victoria. We then headed to the Warner Brother studios in Watford to see the set of Harry Potter. It was bloody amazing and I’ll be doing a full post on that in a few days so keep an eye out on my blog.

The following day we got up early and went to Winter Wonderland. If you’re thinking of visiting but don’t want to go when its busy, I’d suggest going when it first opens at 10am. There was hardly anyone there and we got to walk around the entire site without being barged and actually enjoying it. We then went to visit the famous Harrods. I love going there, especially at Christmas time. I never normally buy anything except baubles for the tree. This year I got two little bear tree decorations, one a solider and one a policeman. We then headed to Oxford Street for a little more shopping.

Overall we had a brilliant few days and it got us into the festive spirit even more. If anyones thinking of visiting somewhere just before Christmas I’d 100% recommend visiting London. So much to do and see and its so festive this time of the year, I love it.
