Finalllllllly, it’s the last day of January and the crappiest month of the year is officially over. I’m really hoping February brings us lighter and warmer days and hopefully we will see some signs of Spring. But before February starts, today I thought i’d share with you my January favourites. At the beginning of the year I sorted through all my make up and decided to not buy anymore until I had used at least half of what I had left. Some of the products I’m showing you today I’ve had a long time and are still in shops and some are a few bits I had for Christmas.
RIMMEL LONDON’S INSTA FIX & GO SETTING SPRAY; I have only this month actually started using setting spray and my goodness it’s bloody amazing. I tend to put in on my face before I’ve moisturised and then afterwards and my foundation has been sitting lovely. I also use it on my beauty blenders to dampen them a bit and I feel like it helps my foundation go on easier. Definitely recommend if you’re after a new setting spray.
MAX FACTOR’S SMOOTH MIRACLE PRIMER; I bought this in December and didn’t use it until this year. I never really bothered with a primer previously, but once I started using it I realised why they’re so good. Its made my face super super smooth and really helped with my dry skin this month. If anyone is looking for a new primer I’d 100% give this one a try, it’s really cheap too.
YSL BLACK OPIUM PERFUME; I was lucky enough to receive this perfume for Christmas and oh my goodness its bloody amazing! Its very strong and last for ages. A couple of times I’ve put clothes on that I’ve previously worn and I can still smell it. It’s not the cheapest of perfumes but I think its worth the money. I’ve worn it every day in January.
REVOLUTION EYE SHADOW PALETTE; My sister kindly bought me this palette for Christmas and I LOVE IT! Again I’ve used this most days through January, the colours are quite neutral and pigmented and are definitely me, they also blend really well together. You can get this palette from Superdrug and Boots so is definitely a really great price. Perfect if you’re after something with a lot of shades but on a budget.
RIGHT GUARD DEODORANT; This one is very random, but I’ve ‘gotta share it with you all. I’ve always used a different deodorant but had struggled for the last few months of last year with (*sorry for the TMI*) smelling after being in work all day. I tried this deodorant when I went back to work after Christmas and I couldn’t believe how good it was!! I didn’t smell and still felt fresh under my arms.. I was amazed! If anyone’s struggling with their deodorant, definitely give this a try.. It certainly does its job!
Have you been loving any of these products lately? If not, what have you been loving this month? Hope you’ve all had a lovely January.
