Anyone who’s been following me for a while or has seen my insta stories will know that I love a good binge watching session. I can’t even begin to tell you how many series I watched last year, so many good ones and too many to mention. I always seem to watch a lot late at night on my laptop before bed, but then end up two seasons deep and not being able to turn off. It’s not the greatest when you’re still awake at 2am and you have work really early in the morning.
At the end of last year I made a conscious effort to try and keep the binge watching to the living room before bed in 2018. Doing this me and my boyfriend decided that we would need a brand new TV for the living room. I can honestly say it was one of the best purchases we made in 2017 and we had so much fun shopping for one! We came across this High Dynamic Range Television* from Panasonic that looked bloody amazing!!! The intensity of the colour and the brightness is amazing and everything looks so much more realistic. My boyfriend has now decided that he wants another one for the bedroom so he can watch all the sports and police chasing programmes HA!
With all this binge watching, I thought I’d share with you my 2018 watchlist. There are so many great programmes and films I’m excited to watch this year and I’m even more excited now with my new TV.
FRIENDS – What a way to start 2018 by Netflix adding Friends eh? I feel like everyone has watched at least one episode of friends in their lifetime! If you haven’t and you have Netflix, now is the perfect time to do so. I’ve watched two seasons so far and I’m excited to watch the rest of them. It’s definitely one of the funniest programmes I’ve ever watched!
LOVE ISLAND – I absolutely loved Love Island last year. It was definitely my new favourite reality show to binge watch. I’m really looking forward to this series in the summer and I’m hoping its just as good as last year!
ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK – Okay so this one hasn’t been confirmed for 2018 yet but a new season does normally come out in June each year. Every year it gets badder and better and I’m praaaaaying they bring another season out this year!
FIFTY SHADES FREED – I’ve read all three books and I’ve seen the first two films so I definitely have to see fifty shades freed at some point this year. I might even take a trip to the cinema this weekend to watch it.
THE GREATEST SHOWMAN – I might be one of the 10 people in the whole wide world who hasn’t seen the greatest showman yet. If I’m honest I haven’t found anyone who will come to the cinema with me to watch it, but I’ve listened to the soundtrack and read all the good reviews so I’m definitely buying the DVD when its out this year.
STRANGER THINGS – I’ve seen everyone rave about this TV show on Netflix but I absolutely hate scary creepy stuff and I’ve been a little too scared to watch it. This year is definitely the year of stepping out of my comfort zone so although its not a big thing to do I’ve added stranger things to my watch list for this year. Fingers crossed I don’t get freaked out too much haha.
MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN – I absolutely loved the first film and I loved singing along to all the songs I’m so excited for the second film in July!!! ***SPOILER ALERT – PLEASE SCROLL PAST IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW*** Really annoyed they killed off Donna (its in the trailer) but it does look a good film once again.
FANTASIC BEASTS 2 – I’m a massive fan of Harry Potter and the wizarding world so it’s not surprising that I absolutely loved the first film of Fantastic Beasts and where to find them. In November this year they’re bringing out the second film and I’m soooo excited!!! Really hope its just as good as the first one.
MARY POPPINS RETURNS – Oh Em Gee I am majoooor excited for this film. Again I loved the first one so its going to be so interesting to see what and how they do this film, 54 years after the first film was aired. This film is out in December 2018… Can’t wait!
Are you looking forward to any of these this year? Have you already watched any? Let me know what’s on your 2018 watchlist 🙂
