My Favourite Things About Spring

I can not believe we are in March already! January seemed to drag by and felt like there were 60 days in that month and February just zoomed by and now it’s officially March. Not necessarily the usual start to March with all the snow we had, (have to admit, I’m a hater not a lover.. it’s too inconvenient for my liking) but with all the snow finally gone, the sun rising earlier and setting a little later and the days getting warmer, I am SO excited for Spring.

Which leads me into my first love for Spring – The Weather. I absolutely love it when the days start to get warmer and you can start wearing less layers when you go out. I love the casual outfits of jeans, jumpers/shirts and trainers/boots and not having to wear a big heavy coat on top. I also love how long the days feel as it gets lighter in the morning and in the evening and I love having more to do during the days.

My second favourite thing about Spring is Easter. As a retail worker, this tends to be quite a busy time in work and I unfortunately don’t get to spend the two Bank Holidays off work like some people, but I do like celebrating it and eating lots of chocolate. I also like having a go at baking around this time of year mainly because creme egg brownies look absolutely amazing and so easy to make. They never turn out good but its the effort that counts right?

Next favourite thing about Spring is Fashion. With the weather getting warmer, I love wearing less layers, no more boots (I’m normally sick of them by the time Spring comes around) and no more coats. I love the casual look of a shirt, jeans and slip ons which is what I practically live in, in Spring time, its my favourite look. It’s also a great excuse to go shopping and buy basically a whole new wardrobe ha.

My final love for Spring is Flowers. As the weather gets warmer, my candles go away and the flowers come out. I love how pretty flowers are in homes and how they brighten up the place. In Spring, my favourite flowers to have is daffodils. I always kinda associate Spring with daffodils and whenever I see them in the supermarket after winter, I always get suuuuuper excited.

Spring my second favourite season, after Autumn of course. Are you looking forward to Spring? What are your favourite things about/to do this season?
