Say whaaaaaat!?
I am officially 28 weeks pregnant and entering my third trimester which I can not believe has come around SO FAST! I still remember the day I found out and between then and my first scan felt like so long. Now here I am entering my third trimester.
If I’m honest, not much has changed since my last pregnancy update. I’m still growing nicely and showing more now, he’s still wriggling around loads and I’m still being sick most mornings. I am feeling a lot better and feel like I’m “glowing” most days. However I am starting to feel a little uncomfortable whilst sleeping now so I tend to wake up quite a bit throughout the night, but I still feel good.
I went back to Wales for the weekend at the end of February and my sneaky amazing friends planned a surprise baby shower for me! It was perfect and honestly so thoughtful. I was really overwhelmed. Myself and baby were spoilt rotten.
Which leads me on to how prepared we are. I’m quite an organised person so I knew I’d have most things sorted before the baby is here but I’m so happy with just how organised we’ve been. The nursery is nearly complete. Just need bedding, need to decide on whether or not to get him a little wardrobe and also need to decide on whether we want to decorate it or leave it plain. We have a Moses basket for beside the bed (possibly going to get another one for downstairs), a pram, a car seat and isofix base, a bouncer, a baby bath, about 100 different clothes for him and we’ve stocked up on loads of nappies and wipes.
I’ve started writing a list for mine and the baby’s hospital bag and I think I have most things covered. I’m looking forward to packing it all up. If you have any other suggestions though please let me know. I’m going to do another blog post about whats in mine and the baby’s bag.
As the weeks fly by, I won’t lie I’m starting to feel nervous. Mainly for the birth, but I also know it will all be worth it. I don’t have a plan or anything. I’m just going to go with the flow. But I’m also so excited to finally meet our baby boy.
